How it works
Choose, customize, review, order. The preview on screen is drawn from the same file our laser cuts.
- Choose. A single plate, a 10-plate department kit with prefilled, editable labels, or a fleet run with sequential IDs.
- Customize. Type your text and pick a size: A 3" × 0.75" for drawers and small gear, B 4" × 1" for racks and equipment, C 4.5" × 1.5" for case exteriors. Then a color scheme (black/white, white/black, red/white) and one of six lettering styles. The preview updates as you type.
- Review. Check spelling and layout. Size, layout and lettering are exactly what we cut — we don’t redraw your file, and every file is checked in the shop before it cuts. Screen colors are approximate.
- Order. Add to cart and check out. We engrave to order in North Hollywood and email tracking when it ships.
Materials
Engraved laminate, 1/16" thick, matte non-reflective finish, cut square with a clean 90° edge. The lettering is engraved into the material, not printed on it, so it won’t peel or rub off in normal handling.
Mounting
Every plate ships with 3M VHB adhesive backing. Clean the surface, peel the liner, place the plate and press firmly for 30 seconds. The bond reaches about 90% strength in 24 hours and full strength in about 72 hours at room temperature. No tools, no drilling.
VHB bonds to clean metal, painted and laminate surfaces. Polypropylene case shells, including Pelican™ Protector cases, and other low-energy plastics need an adhesion promoter such as 3M Tape Primer 94 first.
